What have we been up to as a group?

The MPA Community Network is composed of different EU-funded projects that want to coordinate their actions better and have activities together, joint outputs and mixed audiences. Here are some examples of what we have done so far.

Workshops

Stakeholder Engagement workshop

On November 27, 2024, the Blue Mission Arena in Amsterdam transformed into a vibrant hub of innovation and collaboration, bringing together experts for a session titled “Stakeholder Engagement in Innovative Marine Solutions: Marine Conservation Management, Financing, and Beyond.”

Advancing Marine Restoration in the North Sea workshop

The workshop Leading the way: Marine Nature Restoration advancements, challenges and needs in the North Sea region brought together experts, reasearchers, authorities, and other stakeholders to inform about the ongoing regional and national efforts on the implementation of the EU Nature Restoration Law and explore strategies for overcoming barriers and advancing restoration efforts.

Cooperation and Tools for MPAs workshop

On November 26th, 2024, during the 3rd Mission Arena in Amsterdam, the MPA-CN brought together 5 EU-funded projects to showcase tools and methodologies designed to safeguard marine biodiversity while fostering sustainable governance and stakeholder collaboration.

Outputs
